Where do I get the verification code for the MyQii app?

When you want to create your MyQii account, the MyQii app will ask for a activation code. You have to start creating your MyQii account via the link of a provider. Follow the steps and you will find the activation code on the last page of the process. This code can be used to start the MyQii app. 

Keep in mind that the activation code is valid for ten minutes. You can renew the code yourself.

Having problems logging into the MyQii app?

The connection between your MyQii account and the MyQii app can be disconnected because of different reasons. The quickest way to solves this issue is to reconnect your account to the app.

You can do this by logging into the latest e-mail you have received from Qii in which you can find a Login-button. This can be the “MyQii complete”, “Updatet MyQii” of “Welcome to MyQii”. When you have logged into your account you can click on ‘Connect MyQii app or reset PIN’. The website will give you an activationcode you can put in the MyQii app. If you dont see the page in the MyQii app where the code can be filled in, reinstall the app first.

We have a step-by-step page available with images. Note that this page is only available in Dutch but the images can be helpfull.

If you cannot log in with your phonenumber and SMS-code or if you don’t have the right e-mail anymore, contact us so we can help you along.

How can I invite a co habitant?

Log in to your MyQii app with your pincode. Click on the ‘Deelactie’ (shared information) with your provider and click on ‘+ Persoon toevoegen’ (add person).Copy the link and click on ‘Opslaan’ (save). Send the link to the person you want to invite. 

As soon as this person has completed their MyQii account, you can share your information together.

How can I change my income?

In your MyQii account you will find two types of income. The income collected from the UWV and the Belastingdienst income. 

Are you employed? Then you can change the income collected from UWV by logging in via the e-mail “MyQii complete” or “Updatet MyQii”. Under your UWV income you can click on “Self declared income”. Fill in your gross yearly income and upload an employmer’s statement and a recent (proforma) payment specification. The organisation you are sharing your MyQii with, can view your new income and the documents. 

Are you an entrepreneur,self-employed or do you receive a pension or benefits? Contact the organisation you are sharing your MyQii with so they can request the correct documents for you. 

The income collected from the Belastingdienst can only be changed after a new year has started, you have filled in your tax form and this has been aproved by the Belastindienst. You can update your MyQii to collect this income. 

If you share your Qii via iDD or WoningNet, you cannot change your income via MyQii. 

How do I add the Belastingdienst (tax) income from 2021 to MyQii?

The income from the Belastingdienst of the year 2021 can be added to your MyQii from 1-07-2022. You can add this to your MyQii by updating your account. Check out our question about updating your MyQii for more information about how to do this.

How can I change information in MyQii?

The data in your MyQii account has been collected from the governmental sources and cannot be changed without proof. If you think the data is incorrect, check the governmental sources first. 

Is the information in the governmental sources correct but incorrect in your MyQii? Then you can update your MyQii account.

What is Qii?

MyQii is an online service with which you can create a digital profile, filled with information from governmental sources. With this profile you can let an affiliated organization view your data. This way you can share your data safely, quick and digital.

How does MyQii work?

By using the MyQii app to log in with your DigiD information, you will collect your own data from MijnOverheidBelastingdienst and Mijn UWV. You have insight in which information each governmental source will collect and store in your MyQii accountQii has no direct connection to your governmental sources and will only copy the necessary information. 

How do I create a MyQii account?

Is MyQii safe?

Qii has taken fitted technical and organizational measures to protect your (personal) data from being lost or use in any shape of unlawful processing. Would you like to know more about these measures? Read about it in our privacy statement.

Is MyQii free?

MyQii is free to use for you as a rental candidate.

Who can view my data?

With the MyQii app, you will collect the information from DigiD youself and share your data safely via your MyQii account. Qii or the organisation you want to share your information with are never able to directly view your DigiD or other governmental sources. 

The information in your MyQii account can be viewed by yourself, by Qii and the organisation you are sharing your informaton with. A ‘Deelactie’ (action of sharing your information) is valid for three months. After three months the rights to view your information will be revoked automatically until you comply to share this information again. You can revoke a ‘deelactie’ anytime or request your MyQii to be deleted via the MyQii app.

I do not have a DigiD, can I still create a Qii?

To use the MyQii app, you have to log into your DigiD account. Did you forget your DigiD information or do you not have a DigiD account? Then you cannot use the MyQii app. Request your information at digid.nl. Or ask the provider or rental agency for an alternative way to apply to residences.

Can I use the DigiD app for creating a MyQii account?

No that is not possible. You can only log in with your username and password. Logging into your MyQii app can be done by using a pin you will choose yourself.

How does MyQii get my information?

Via the MyQii app you will log in yourself with your DigiD information to collect the necessary information from the governmental sources. The MyQii app will automatically sign off at the governmental sources after creating your MyQii account. The MyQii app will not create a link with your DigiD information. Only the required information known by the governmental sources will be placed in your MyQii account.

How do I download the MyQii app?

The MyQii app is available in the Google Play Store or de Apple Appstore.  

Do you have an Android device? Make sure you have Android versie 6.0 or higher installed. Use this link to go to the Qii app in the Google Play Store.   

Do you have an Apple device? Make sure you have iOS versie 11.0 or higher installed. Use this link to go to the Qii app in the App Store.  

I can’t find/download the MyQii app in the store?

The MyQii app is only available for users with a Dutch App Store or Appstore account. You can change the country in your account in the account settings of your appstore. Make sure your phone has the most recent version of the software installed. 

Do you have an Android device? Make sure you have Android versie 6.0 or higher installed. Use this link to go to the MyQii app in the Google Play Store.   

Do you have an Apple device? Make sure you have iOS versie 11.0 or higher installed. Use this link to go to the MyQii app in the App Store. 

Can someone help me with creating a MyQii account?

Because you have to log in yourself with your DigiD account, you can only create a MyQii account for yourself. We can of course assist you with this. Contact us so someone of our support team can help you along.

How can I change the information in MyQii?

The data in your MyQii account will be directly collected from governmental sources and cannot be adjusted. If you think this information is not correct, check this at the governement soure. 

Is the information in the governmental source correct but not in your MyQii? Then you can update your MyQii account. Is your income incorrect? Check the section about income to see how you can change this for your income type.

How can I update MyQii account?

Your MyQii account will be valid for three months. When your MyQii account is outdated, you will automatically get the option to update your information, when you apply to a residence. 

Want to update your MyQii account in advance, for example if something has changed in your income situation? This can be done via the MyQii app via the account page. Under the title ‘Geldigheid’ you can click on ‘Updaten’ to start the update process.

How long is a MyQii account valid?

Your MyQii account will be valid for three months. If you shared your MyQii with an organisation by starting a sharing action, the organisation can view your information for three months. You can update your MyQii account yourself to extend this period to another three months. 

My marital status has changed, how can I update this?

If your marital status has changed because you got married or divorced, you have to change this for the government. As soon as the information in your MijnOverheid account has been updated, you can update this information in your MyQii account as well. 

My address has changed, how can I update this?

If your new address is known to MijnOverheid you can update your MyQii account. As soon as the information in your MijnOverheid account has been updated, you can update this in your MyQii account as well. 

My phone number or e-mail address has changed, can I adjust this?

You can change your e-mail address and phone number in the MyQii app. Log in with your pin and go to ‘Account’ page.  

Click on ‘Aanpassen’ or ‘Change’ to change your e-mail address or phone number. Click on ‘Opslaan’ or ‘Save’ to save your adjustment. The e-mail address and/or phone number will be changed directly. 

Do you need an e-mail to log into your MyQii app, that has been send to your old e-mail address? Contact us so we can help you along with this.

My income is not correct, can I change this?

How can I update a MyQii account?

After three months your MyQii account will be outdated. When you want to start sharing information again, the MyQii app will ask you to update your MyQii account first.

You can update your MyQii account in advance via the MyQii app. Go to the account page and click on ‘Updaten’ under the title ‘ Geldigheid’. You will follow the steps again to create a new version of your MyQii account. Your household and co habitant(s) will remain the same.

How can I add documents to MyQii?

Only by request of the organisation you are sharing your MyQii with, you can upload additional documents to your MyQii account. Ask the organisation to request the documents in your MyQii account. You will then receive an e-mail you can use to safely add this information to your MyQii account.

Are you employed? You can then upload an employment statement and payment specification when you change your income. Read more about this process under ‘Income’.

Never send a document with personal information via the e-mail. Qii cannot upload anything for you and we cannot guarantee the safety of your information this way. 

The rental agency has asked me to upload a document, how can I add this?

Only by request of an organisation, can you add a document to your MyQii account. Ask the organisation you are sharing your MyQii with to request the necessary document(s). You will receive an e-mail with which you can safely upload this to your MyQii account.  

Never send a document with personal information via e-mail. We cannot add anything for you and we cannot guarantee the safety of your information this way. 

Who can view my additional document(s)?

Only the provider(s) you have specifically given permission to view your data, can view these additional document(s).  

I am not sure if I have uploaded something in MyQii, can I check this?

After you have uploaded a document to your MyQii account, you will receive an e-mail verification. Want to check if the document(s) have been uploaded correctly? Contact the organisation you are sharing your MyQii with for this. Qii cannot view or approve additional documents. 

How can I change the composition of my household?

Would you like to invite or remove a co habitant? You can do this in the MyQii app. Click on an active sharing action (deelactie) and scroll to the bottom of the page to invited or remove a co habitant.

Can’t find this option or are you unsure if your household is correct?  Contact our Help & Service team and we will help you along. 

How can I invite a co habitant?

Log in to the MyQii app with your pin. Click on an active sharing action (deelactie) to view your information. At the bottom of the page you will see the option to add a person (persoon toevoegen). Copy the link and send this link to your co habitant. This link will let your co habitant create their MyQii account and join your household.

If your co habitant has already created their Qii account and you would like to add them to your household, please contact us stating the e-mail address of your co habitant so we can help you complete your household.

I cannot see the information of my partner or co habitant?

That is correct. MyQii is a personal account with personal information. You cannot view the personal data of a different person. You can click one of your active sharing actions (deelactie) to see if your co habitant or partner is also linked to this sharing action. You can see their name at the bottom of this page.

Are you not sure if your household has been created correctly? Just contact us and we will check this with you.

How do I remove someone from my household?

Go to an active sharing action (deelactie) in the Qii app and click on the trashcan icon next to the name of the person you want to remove. When you remove a co habitant, you will remove them from your household as well as your earlier placed sharing actions. You will not delete the account of this person with this action.

After removing them, you can apply to houses again with only your personal information. 

Do you want to remove an invitation from your household? You can click on the sharing action (deelactie) in progress (in afwachting) and remove the open invitation by clicking on ‘uitnodiging verwijderen’ under the link. The sharing action can now be completed with only the information of the people who have already created their MyQii account and are linked to your household.

How can I withdraw an invitaton for a co habitant?

You can click on the sharing action (deelactie) in progress (in afwachting) and remove the open invitation by clicking on ‘uitnodiging verwijderen’ under the link. The sharing action can now be completed with only the information of the people who have already created their MyQii account and are linked to your household.

How can I view who is taking part of my household?

You cannot see an overview of your household. You can view who has participated in your active sharing actions (deelacties). You can click one of your active sharing actions (deelactie) to see if your co habitant or partner is also linked to this sharing action. You can see their name at the bottom of this page.

Are you not sure if your household has been created correctly? Just contact us and we will check this with you.

Why can I not invite someone in the MyQii app?

Only the head of the household can invite people to join your household. If you do not see the option to invite someone, in the MyQii app, then you are probably the co habitant instead of the head of the household. Ask the head of the household to invite someone for you.

Do you not see any active sharing actions (deelacties)? Then you cannot add a person via the MyQii app. In this case you can contact us so we can help you along.

What is UWV income?

UWV income is the income collected from the UWV. This is your SV-income. SV-income means ‘sociale verzekeringsloon‘, meaning social insurance wages. This is your income before retraction of different wages. This number can be found on a (Dutch) payment specification as a different term than SV-income. For example SVW-loon, heffingsloon, loon LB/HB.  

I am an entrepeneur or independent contractor, how can I show my income?

The organisation you are sharing your MyQii with, can request additional documents to view and adjust your recent income. Contact the organisation to let them request the correct documents. You will then receive a link via the e-mail from Qii which you can use to safely add additonal documents.

Qii cannot view or request additional documents.  

I receive pension, AOW or benefits, how can I show my income?

The organisation you are sharing your MyQii with, can request additional documents to view and adjust your recent income. Contact the organisation to let them request the correct documents. You will then receive a link via the e-mail from Qii which you can use to safely add additonal documents.

Qii cannot view or request additional documents.  

Is the income in MyQii personal or from my shared household?

In your MyQii account you have stored information from your own DigiD information. Only your personal information will be shown in your MyQii app. If you want to apply to residence with a co habitant or partner, you can add this person’s MyQii account to your household. This way the rental agency can view both your incomes added up.

Are you connecting your MyQii to your WoningNet? Then the aggregated income of all people in your household will be added together. The aggregated income of your household has been collected from the Belastingdienst 

How can I view the sum of my household income?

You cannot view the sum of your household income yourself. You can add up the incomes of every member in your household. This is the amount the organisation you are sharing your MyQii with can view.

Which income will be viewed by the organisation I am sharing MyQii with?

This depends on the rental agency or organisation you are sharing your MyQii with. Contact the organisation to learn more about the income requirements of the organisation. 

How can I let my equity count towards my income?

While creating your MyQii account you can fill in an amount for the equity. If you would like to change this amount you can update your MyQii account. Keep in mind that the organisation you are sharing your MyQii with, can ask for a burden of proof for the equity in your MyQii. 

How can I login to the MyQii app?

There are two ways to view your MyQii account. You can log in via the MyQii app to view your recent sharing actions (deelacties). Use your personal pin to log into the app. If you click on one of the active sharing actions, you can view the personal information you have shared.

You can also log in via the e-mail you received after completing (or updating) your MyQii account. Here you can view your personal information but not your sharing actions. 

If you cannot use your pin to login to the MyQii app you can also reset this by logging in via the e-mail. If you do not have this e-mail anymore, contact use and we will send it again.

The MyQii app asks me for an activation code, where can I find this?

Are you in the process of creating your MyQii account? Then you have to fill in an activation code to continue the steps in the MyQii app. The activation code will be shown after you have filled in the MyQii questions. Follow the process from the link of an organisation you want to share your MyQii with, to create your personal activation code. 

Keep in mind that this code will be active for 10 minutes. After that you can renew the code by clickin the grey arrow. 

Have you already created your MyQii account and the MyQii app still shows you the activation code screen? Then you might have disconnected your MyQii account from the MyQii app. This will also happen when you delete the MyQii app and install the app again. You can link your MyQii account to the app again by logging in via the e-mail ‘MyQii complete’ or ‘Updatet MyQii’. View our question about resetting your PIN for more information.

I forgot my PIN, how can I reset this?

You can reset your PIN by logging in via the e-mail ‘MyQii complete’ or ‘Updated MyQii’. At the bottom of the page you find the option to connect the MyQii app. 

The next page will show you an activation code. Fill in the code on the page in the MyQii app where it asks for an activation code. If you forgot your PIN, you have to reinstall the MyQii app to see this page. You can now choose a new PIN in the MyQii app.

I cannot log in in the MyQii app or have deleted the MyQii app, how can I log in again?

If you have deleted the MyQii app from your phone, the option to log in will be removed from your device as well. You can connect the MyQii app again by logging in via the e-mail ‘MyQii complete’ or ‘Updated MyQii’. At the bottom of the page you find the option to connect the MyQii app. 

The next page will show you an activation code. Fill in the code on the page in the MyQii app where it asks for an activation code.  You can now choose your new PIN in the MyQii app.

What happens to my information during maintenance or an error?

Because the MyQii app does not store any information, your data will be lost if an error occures will creating your MyQii. Therefore it might happend that you have to start over again. This is might seem inconvenient but it is for the best. MyQii does not and can not save information without a legal basis. 

Qii only saves information when you have completed the app and given permission for storing your data. 

Why can I not log into the UWV?

Because of a more strict inlog method at the UWV, you have to activate SMS verification set in your DigiD account. 

Go to DigiD.nl and sign into your account. Go to the section ‘SMS Verification‘, you will see ‘Active‘ of  ‘Inactive‘ here. Make sure you activate this and check if your phone number is up to date 

Why can I not log into MijnOverheid?

Organisations that use MijnOverheid or the ‘Berichtenbox’ at MijnOverheid, have to be accepted before you can log in with the MyQii app. 

If you come across a notification about activating or accepting conditions at MijnOverheid, while making your MyQii, then you have to give those organisations permission. The MyQii app can lead you through this process and send you back so you can continue your MyQii. 

If it is not possible to go to the berichtenbox via the Qii app. Go to the MijnOverheid website separately from the MyQii app. Accept the organisations in your MijnOverheid environment and start over in the MyQii app.

Where can I view my sharing actions?

In the MyQii app you can view an overview of your sharing actions (deelacties). Active shared information are visible for the organisation you are sharing your MyQii with. 

Sharing actions in progress (in afwachting) still have an open action. For example because you invitied a co habtitant. These sharing actions can be placed automatically when the action has been completed. 

Inactive sharing acties are withdrawn or expired. You can withdraw a sharing action yourself by clicking on an active sharing action. At the bottom of this page you will find the option ‘Deelactie stoppen’.

After completing a sharing action, you will also receive a confirmation e-mail. 

What is a sharing action (deelactie)?

A sharing action is when you give an organisation permission to view the data in your MyQii for a certain reason, like applying to a house. This reason is the legal basis. Everytime you want to apply to a house, you can start a new sharing action with an organisation like your rental agency or broker. The sharing action will be valid for three months, after that the sharing action, including the rights to view your information, will be withdrawn automatically.

I did not receive the e-mail after creating MyQii?

The e-mail could have been placed in the spam/unwanted folder. Check this first. 

Are you not sure if you have filled in the correct e-mail address or did you not receive the e-mail? Contact our support team so we can resend it 

How do I know if an organisation can view my MyQii account?

In the MyQii app you can find an overview of active sharing actions (deelacties). For example, your applications to rental houses. If you sharing action has been completed then you will receive an e-mail verification about this. 

If you invite a co habitant after completing a sharing action, this sharing action will be withdrawn until your household is complete again. 

A rental agency can not view my information, how can I fix this?

First check the MyQii app to view this sharing action (deelactie) and to verify that this has been completed. A completed sharing action will be under Actief in your MyQii app. If you have invitited a co habitant, the sharing action will be withdrawn until the household is complete again. 

Is the sharing action looking complete and you did not withdraw yourself or invited another person? This could be a technical issue. Contact us via the contact form so we can help you along. 

I can’t share my MyQii account because of a notification about the household?

Have you invited a co habitant to your household? Then you can start a new sharing action after your household has been compelted. View our questions about household and co habitants for more information. 

Why is the MyQii app not available?

The MyQii app is dependent of the availabilty of the governmental sources and DigiD. Whenever there is maintenance or an error at MijnOverheid, Belastingdienst or the UWV, the MyQii app will not be available. 

We will place a notification on our website whenever this occures. Keep an eye on the website to see when the MyQii app will be available again. 

If you are currently not in the Netherlands or have your App Store or Google Playstore account set to a different country, the MyQii app might also not be available for you to download. This has to do with country restrictions. 

How can I delete my Qii?

Want to delete your MyQii account? Go to ‘Account’ in the MyQii app and click on ‘Delete my account’/’Account verwijderen’. Notice, your sharing actions and applications to rental houses will be removed as well. 

Can’t log in to the MyQii app? Contact us and we will help you along. 

What happens to my data after deleting MyQii?

If you use the ‘Account verwijderen’ button in the MyQii app, Qii will receive your request for removal. After deleting your MyQii account, we will send you a confirmation. 

All the sharing actions you started will be deleted as well as your personal information in your MyQii. You can always create a new Qii account. We can not recall deleted Qii accounts. 

If you accidentally clicked the delete button, contact us we can cancel your request. 

How long will MyQii be valid?

A MyQii account will be valid for three months. The organisation you are sharing your information with, can view your sharing action for three months. So three months after creating your MyQii account, your sharing actions (this means housing applications as well) will be withdrawn.

When your MyQii account is older then three months your information will expire. You can update your MyQii account whenever you want to start a sharing action again. Or you can update your MyQii account via the account page in the MyQii app. View our questions about updating your MyQii for more information.

How does MyQii handle my personal data?

Qii does everything possible to make sure your personal data is safe. Only qualified team members can view your information if you have a question about your Qii. Our team members can not export your information. 

We also secure your information as best as possible by encrypting them while storing. If you want to read more about how Qii handles personal information, read our privacy statement.
